  Industrial Fluidized Baths

Industrial Fluidized Baths

TES is proud to represent Techne.  Techne has been manufacturing and selling Industrial Fluidized baths for over 40 years. Fluidized baths, with their large heat capacity and temperature range (up to 1112F), radiate heat into the inert and safe aluminum oxide which acts as the thermal transfer medium to immersed objects providing very even and consistent heat throughout the bath volume. The gentle, fluidized action is non-abrasive to items placed into the bath. Fast heat transfer, safety, low operational costs and being environmentally friendly make fluidized baths a good choice over traditional ovens and salt baths.

Applications

Techne Industrial Fluidized Baths can completely remove all polymer from parts used in extrusion and injection molding of plastics, including dies, nozzles, breaker plates, extruder screws, hot runner manifolds, spinnerets and spin packs -- sometimes in under 30 minutes. Assembled tools can be easily disassembled after cleaning as the fluidized bath will remove any material between orifices and openings. Even heat distribution minimizes tool damage and distortion as opposed to using torches or hand cleaning methods. Once parts are placed in the bath pyrolysis starts to occur, reducing polymer to a carbon ash that falls off inside the bath.

Fast thermal transfer of heat into immersed objects also makes fluidized baths a great choice for heating reactors and mantels used in reactive analysis of gases and liquids. Uniform heat is an attractive feature for those performing heat treatment, shape setting and annealing of various metals and materials.

   Laboratory Fluidized Baths

Laboratory Fluidized Baths

Fluidized Baths are dry and inert, making them a safe and clean alternative to conventional liquid systems and salt baths. These baths cover from 50°C to 700°C and are used in materials and component quality control, calibration laboratories and thermal processes providing rapid heat transfers with precise and uniform temperature control.

Applications

The FB-08 series baths have become the market standard for carrying out shape setting (heat treatment processing) of metals including Nitinol and platinum for medical device manufacturing.
